each other と one another は相互代名詞です。
each other と one another は同じ意味で、文の中での使い方も同じです:“The neighbors greet each other every morning.” “The neighbors greet one another every morning.”
置く場所は、動詞のすぐ後(know each other)か、前置詞の後(talk to one another、work with each other、care about one another)です。 日本語の「話し合う」「見つめ合う」には前置詞が見えませんが、英語では talk to someone、look at someone と言うので、talk to each other、look at each other になります。“talk each other” は間違いです。一方、call someone、help someone のように前置詞のいらない動詞は、call each other、help each other です。また、each other は代名詞なので、“Each other was busy.” 「お互い忙しかった」は “We were both busy.”
“The two roommates split the bills with each other” も “The five roommates split the bills with each other” も同じように自然で、どちらの文でも one another を使えます。
所有格は、アポストロフィ+ s をつけて each other's、one another's にします:“The students borrowed each other's notes before the exam.” “The teams respect one another's effort.” “each other notes” のように 's を落としたり、“the notes of each other” のように of を使ったりはしません。
each other's であり、each others' ではありません。
通るなら each other / one another です。
each other's が正しい形です。
「話し合う」には前置詞が見えませんが、英語では talk to someone なので talk to each other です。
英語の each other は副詞ではなく代名詞で、動詞の目的語になります:“They help each other.” “They help mutually.” や “They help together.”
英語では、それぞれの動詞がふだん使う前置詞をそのまま残します:talk to each other、look at each other、argue with each other、write to each other(アメリカ英語では write each other も使います)。一方、call、email、help、trust などは前置詞なしで each other が続きます。
「お互い」→ each other / one another、「自分(たち)」→ themselves / ourselves。“The two teams congratulated each other.”(お互いを祝福した)と “They congratulated themselves.”(自分たちを褒めた)は意味が違います。
2人でも10人でも each other(または one another)です。 所有格も each other's です。
💡 「お互いに」「〜し合う」が入るなら each other / one another。
💡 動詞の前置詞はそのまま:talk to each other、look at each other。でも call each other、help each other。
“each others” にはせず、所有格は each other's です。

"Good idea. Let's text each other how much everyone can give."
"I'll message the group. We can also ask one another for gift ideas — she'd love something practical."
"Perfect. Let's check in with each other by Friday so we can order it in time."
